This work was created for a benefit for Ehler's Danlos Syndrome, the mascot of which is the zebra. In the medical world, there's a phrase that goes like "If you hear hoof beats, think of a horse, not a zebra". Basically, don't jump to the worst or rarest thing before exploring more common options. But with EDS, this genetic condition for many is the result of countless trials and doctor visits to figure out what's wrong. I observed in a friend of mine with EDS a frequent struggle with using her hands; she experienced constant joint pain and struggled with day to day tasks. This print explores that physical reaction and experience.
